The Bolivian Society for Molecular Biology is a national representative body that formally assumed its role in 2020, recognizing the strong demand for molecular biology in various areas of action in Bolivian society, which showed a certain lack of public awareness about the essential role of molecular biology in health, biodiversity, and sustainable development. Since its creation, the SBBM has been dedicated to representing and strengthening the scientific community in Bolivia, promoting the knowledge and application of this discipline in various key areas.
Currently, the SBBM disseminates advances in molecular biology through congresses, seminars, specialized workshops, and courses, offering a dynamic space for scientific exchange between researchers, students, and professionals. With a solid network of national and international connections and effective communication among its members, the Society stands out for its ability to act swiftly and its constant commitment to scientific advancement. This predisposition for collaborative work, combined with an ethical and rigorous approach, allows the SBBM to actively contribute to the development of molecular biology in Bolivia, establishing itself as a key player in the region.
