CBBM 2024
The CBBM 2024 (Bolivian Congress of Molecular Biology 2024), organized by the Bolivian Society for Molecular Biology (SBBM), was held in a hybrid format in La Paz. It featured outstanding participation from international speakers from seven countries, supported by national and international academic institutions, and attracted a large number of students from across the country, establishing itself as a resounding success and the most important scientific event in molecular biology in Bolivia.
Under the theme “High-Altitude Molecular Biology,” the congress offered keynote lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, and networking activities, strengthening scientific collaboration networks. Its impact highlights the growth of molecular biology in Bolivia and the success of this second edition, reflecting the legacy of its first version.

SBBM 2022
Molecular biology has grown remarkably in recent years, playing a key role in areas such as health, conservation, and many others, with a significant impact during the pandemic. In this context, the Bolivian Society for Molecular Biology organized the first Bolivian Symposium on Molecular Biology (SBBM 2022), a virtual event held from April 27 to May 1, which strengthened the national scientific network and opened new opportunities for research development in Bolivia.
This symposium was a milestone for science in Bolivia, bringing together for the first time researchers, future scientists, students, and professionals from across the country. It had the support of various national institutions, featured international speakers, and saw strong participation from the Bolivian scientific community, fostering the exchange of knowledge and collaboration for research and development.
